Copywriting
Shine Insurance Agency
At the peak of the pandemic, this client’s brief for Facebook ad copy said, “just make a unicorn drop an ice cream deuce and we’ll be good.” Weird, but ok…
The Hilton Family
These print ads for a Hilton debit card told customers how they might spend a little cash earned back on purchases. I crafted the concept, copy, and dollar bills.
Dropkick Ads
To guide and inspire Dropkick’s audience of marketers and business owners, I wrote blog articles for the marketing agency’s website.
7-Eleven
All 7-Eleven shoppers, even nice old grandparents, needed to know they could be carded when buying age restricted products. The copy I crafted for this ID ZONE signage served up the message and shot for a laugh.
Dean Fredrick
Leading marketing for “Austin’s badass jeweler” meant pushing the custom nature of the designer’s business. When many calls to the studio were about buying numbered pieces seen on Dean’s website, I needed to change things up.
I researched every piece featured in Dean’s portfolio and named it after the person he designed it for. As we worked with new clients, I told their unique jewelry stories. Callers started booking custom jewelry consultations without confusion. We made it personal.
jesilyn
Custom white gold engagement ring with a bezel set 1.14 ct triangular sapphire. Smaller pavé set intense yellow diamonds in triangular grouping at top. Top of band is polished. Hand engraved sides. 02870
Leonardo, a gamer and local stand up comedian, had us in stitches throughout his custom jewelry consultations as we discussed a custom engagement ring for his girlfriend Jesilyn. The two are fans of a Final Fantasy character called “VIVI” who wears a gold pointy hat and a blue jacket, and the idea was to create a ring in a similar color scheme that was super geometric. Dean’s design features a triangular blue sapphire and fancy intense yellow diamonds in white gold, with hand engraving in a viney pattern on the sides of the band, giving the finished ring a magical feel. We weren’t surprised to hear that Jesilyn said yes to Leo’s proposal, or that he gave her the ring after a late night binge watching of Stranger Things. Perfect custom fit.
ZenBusiness
Crafting effective emails for busy customers means hitting their inboxes with info that’s enticing, useful, and easy to scan. I aimed to boost product benefits to budding entrepreneurs — with no dilly dallying.
Toddler Target
I don’t always craft ad copy about a product that helps parents potty-train little boys, but when I do… it’s punny.
Frito-Lay
As a writer on the Frito-Lay team, my job was to keep the brand’s messaging crunchy.
This print ad for Baked! Cheetos tells parents that healthier snacks can still excite the kiddos.
I shot for a win for Tostitos during the Super Bowl. The concept and copy for this Kroger store signage tempted shoppers to score with a party purchase that everyone could root for.
